Beth has lived in Norwich for over 15 years and enjoys what the city has to offer. She is a qualified person centred counsellor and is an accredited member of BACP. She is a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and is a member of BABCP. Beth works as a Cognitive Behaviour Therapist with adults within the Wellbeing Service, NHS and a voluntary organisation called Map in Norwich as a Youth Counsellor. She has experience of working as a school counsellor within a number of High Schools within Norwich. She has also worked with supporting teachers within a school and has had her own private practice. Beth works on a 1 to 1 basis and runs therapeutic groups.
Beth left school interested in working in the travel industry, however, in her early 20s she re-trained and started work as a Personal Assistant. She then moved onto event management for a corporate company, which she loved. However she felt something was missing in her life, and work didn’t fulfil her.
After facing a significant decision which affected Beth’s personal life, she started an evening class in counselling. This enabled Beth to realise what she had been missing and she decided to pursue a qualification in counselling. Beth obtained her degrees for Person Centred Counselling and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in 2010 and 2015. During her training, she has worked voluntarily at Norcas, Sue Lambert Trust and Cruse Bereavement Care.
Beth understands how it feels to not know where to go in life, to feel disempowered and to have low self esteem. Helping others to feel empowered and providing the right conditions for growth to take form is important to her and hence she enjoys working with clients on a 1 to 1 basis at dream on. Beth also runs some of our workshops at dream on
