Ken describes himself as having “a rich and broad wealth of life experience”!
With a Scottish heritage and upbringing, Ken moved to England when he was twelve and has worked in senior management positions in four sectors of industry over the last forty years. He has run charities in London and Suffolk and has also been involved in church team leadership. His work took him to East Africa for three years where he says, “the country got under my skin” and he returns as often as he can to work in impoverished communities. He has held trusteeships of several charities.
As well as currently leading a local charity, Ken runs his own private practice from Bothy House in Eye. He is a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, a qualified counsellor, couples practitioner, Life Purpose coach and clinical supervisor of counsellors. He regularly trains various counselling modules and offers bespoke training to corporates and charities. Ken is also a co-director of a counselling training company and trustee of a counselling and training charity in Suffolk. His passion is to see people grow, develop and to realise their potential.
Ken enjoys family time with his wife Susie, two daughters, two step-sons and loves to walk with his Goldendoodle, Bella! He has a passion for birdlife which dovetails nicely with gardening a third of an acre at home. A keen sportsman in his youth, Ken would, given the chance, be on the golf course as much as he could!
